AutoAttend is designed as a privacy-first, offline-capable application. We do not require you to create an account or log in to a server.

Location Data (Background & Foreground)

To provide the core functionality of Automatic Attendance Tracking, our app requires access to your device's location.

How we use it:

We compare your current location with the coordinates of your institute (which you manually set) to automatically mark you as "Present" when you are within the geofenced area during your class times.

• Background Access: If enabled by you, the app checks your location periodically in the background to ensure attendance is marked even if the app is closed.
• Data Transmission: Location data is processed 100% locally on your device. We do not transmit, share, or store your location history on any external server.
